Local departure by coach or Home Connect service, then continue to Scotland and your hotel where we enjoy a four-night stay.
After breakfast, we enjoy a leisurely morning before making our way to Edinburgh for the highlight of our trip.
Arriving in the afternoon, there will be some free time to explore – why not enjoy the atmosphere of the Royal Mile, hit the shops on popular Princes Street or see the sights in the delightful Old Town. There are plenty of dining options through the city as well as cosy pubs and charming cafés to enjoy.
Later in the evening we take our seats for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo**. Drawing together a host of creative talent from across four continents, the innovative production features heart-stopping sounds, imaginative graphics, state-of-the-art lighting, specially commissioned fireworks and almost 1,000 performers! After the show we’ll make our way back to the hotel.
We'll carefully plan the remainder of your itinerary around the location of your hotel and your included excursions will be confirmed on your travel documents.
Excursions will include two of the following:
Glasgow: Full of striking architecture, from the magnificent splendour of the Gothic cathedral to the modern Riverside Museum – there is so much to admire! Having evolved over recent decades, Glasgow is now one of Britain’s most vibrant and intriguing cities.
Loch Lomond: Admire the sparkling scenery of the Trossachs National Park, with its vast mountain ranges and sparkling, tranquil lochs and, enjoy some free time on the shores of stunning Loch Lomond
Stirling and Dunfermline: Visit the impressive city of Stirling where you can explore the Old Town and the charming Victorian Stirling Arcade, or admire the hilltop castle and National Wallace Monument. Before we head to the ancient capital of Dunfermline to visit the grave of Robert The Bruce in the magnificent abbey.
Perth and Dundee: Visit the historic city of Perth where you can view the 'Stone of Destiny' in the Perth Museum before visiting maritime Dundee where you will have free time to explore. Why not visit the V&A Museum or RRS Discovery at Discovery Point?
Return home.

**The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is an evening performance and we recommend wearing suitable clothing in case of changeable weather. The Tattoo is reached by a steep walk on a mainly cobbled approach and there are steps to seats – if you have concerns about access please contact us for further information.

Please note: At the end of the performance, the arena will disperse slowly. The coach will not depart without you. It is useful to provide a mobile number at the time of booking so our driver can contact you should you lose your way.

Standard tickets for the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo may be located in Sections 1, 16, or 17 within the Edinburgh Castle Esplanade. For a more central view, you can upgrade to Band B tickets, located in Sections 2, 12, 14 or 15, for a supplement of £30 per person, alternatively, why not treat yourself to Premier tickets for a supplement of £189 per person, located facing the castle with a full unobstructed view of the Tattoo performance.
Please note: The old-cobbled approach to the Esplanade is a walk of some 80 metres on a steep incline and may prove difficult for some. In addition, there is generally a further 60 metre walk to reach the performance area. You will pass through security to enter the venue and bags will be searched. There are approximately 30 rows of tiered seating, resulting in steps to your allocated seat. There are handrails. If you require wheelchair access, it is essential that we are notified at the time of booking as spaces are limited and must be pre-booked – access seats also include allowance for one essential companion only.
